A record-breaking rise in viewership compared to the first edition

The Marvel Rivals Invitational: North America #2 marked a major milestone for the game's esports scene, shattering its previous viewership record with a 150% increase. This success was driven by extensive coverage from top streamers and an intense competition featuring some of the biggest teams in North America.

The number of teams in this tournament was twice as many as in the first edition, which featured only four. Notable organizations such as 100 Thieves, Sentinels, and ENVY joined the fray, alongside Shroud-X, the newly assembled squad led by renowned streamer Michael 'Shroud' Grzesiek. His presence, along with other high-profile names, generated significant excitement around the event.

The competition followed a Swiss stage format, leading into a double-elimination bracket, delivering thrilling matchups. In the grand finals, 100 Thieves secured a 4-2 victory over FlyQuest, claiming the $40,000 prize. The event’s visibility was further boosted by co-streaming from influential figures like Dogman, iRunShibb, and LemonKiwi, helping Marvel Rivals reach unprecedented viewership numbers.

With such an explosive rise in popularity, Marvel Rivals esports is proving to be a major contender in the competitive gaming scene, with even bigger events likely on the horizon.
